1. Install and connect
The Buoy Controller needs just 4” of pipe gap on your main water line near your home's water shutoff valve, and is powered by a rechargeable battery. Connect the Controller to your WiFi network and it will send your water usage data to the app.
What is a standard installation? In less than two hours, a plumber will install the Controller on 4-13” of exposed pipe that has at least 6” inches clearance from walls, pipes, and appliances, without needing extra pipe or fittings to do the job. For flex line installations, the plumber will secure the Controller to a 20x20x10 space on the wall that’s less than two feet from the Controller’s connection to your flex line.
Non-standard installations can require cutting into walls or digging up pipes, reworking your pipes to create space for the Controller, adding new copper pipe, pressure regulators, or similar supplies, or taking more than two hours of time
The Buoy Controller will go inside or outside your house in a spot that's always accessible and never submerged in water. It can be installed vertically or horizontally, with either copper pipe or flexline.
